How long does it take to paint (refinish) a kitchen?
Most kitchens are finished in 3-5 days
How much does it cost?
Anywhere from $2000 – $20,000+. The best way to know is to email us pictures and we will get a quick quote range to you asap. Lookie-loos are welcome. TupeloLaneDesigns@gmail.com
Do you offer color consults?
With your cabinet refinish you also receive a free color consult for your cabinetry colors. We will also have large color swatches sent to your home on request.
Can you add a backsplash or countertop?
Absolutely, We can even bring samples to your home
Can you change out our hinges to soft close?
Many times we can. Please send a picture and we will let you know.
Can you paint laminate/thermofoil?
It depends on how well the covering is adhering to the mdf below it. If there are no spots lifting or areas of delamination we can refinish them using a special bonding primer.
Do you fill oak grain?
We do not fill grain. There is a process that can fill the grain but it is very difficult, time consuming and cost prohibitive to fill it. That being said when we refinish open grain woods (oak etc…) all the pores are covered and you won’t have color variation but you will still see the movement in the wood to varying degrees. The other option is we can get you new doors.
Can I pick my own color?
You bet as long as JC Licht can color match it to the wood coating that we use (paint).
What is the difference between painting and refinishing?
While refinishing cabinetry incorporates much of the skill, tools and equipment involved in other forms of painting, it is a completely different animal. Cabinet finishing is an art unto itself. It requires a considerable amount of preparation, an organized system to provide smooth and professional finishes.
